Water Tiger
Dytiscidae Predaceous diving beetle larva
Water Tiger. Water Tigers are the larva of the predatory diving beetles.
Water Tiger, larva of the Giant Diving Beetle, I use a glass shooting box filled with clean water to get these pictures.
These Water Tiger pictures are taken in a shooting box which is a small glass box filled with very clean water, everything has to be rinsed before placing into the box since it can contaminate the water and show up in the picture.
Water Tiger close up if you look close you can see where the venom comes through the pincers.
Water Tigers are good subjects for the shooting box because they move slow.
Water Tiger's are are the venomous larva of the Giant Diving Beetle
