Certhia americana
Satyrium sylvinum nootka Last one reported on the island was 2009 in the Nanaimo area, otherwise there are just historical records, no recent records for the Comox area. Not that there are a lot of records for butterflies and moths. With insects disappearing so quick I think of our pictures as the new historical record. Sounds like they have been seen a number of times in the Nanaimo area in the past few years. The historical record for the Comox area is from the sixties.
